My daughter had to make the decision of euthanasia of her boxer Maggie. She had developed cancer in the intestine. It was the hardest decision she had ever to make.
Maggie was her world and her rock. A bond between them two that they understood each other. Maggie knew when my daughter was upset or depressed. It’s like they were in tune with each other. It broke my heart too, to let her go. It wasn’t fair to Maggie to let her suffer. She deserved better than that. She was only 6 years old. Not enough time for us. She gave my daughter the best love and vice versa. Losing her was extremely hard on my daughter Amanda.
We all don’t want to let loose of our pets, but is it fair to them to let them not enjoy their life anymore cause we want to be selfish? We rather have them here. But when you see it in their eyes, the sadness, you know they are ready.
It will soon be three years for our Maggie Mae and we still miss her so much. She was loved. She was not just a dog, she was family. Much love til we see you waiting for us!
