Thank you for making a very sad and heartbreaking moment peaceful and dare I say beautiful. I cannot thank you enough for the kindness and gentle care you showed Georgie before, during, and after she passed away. I would not have wanted the moment to be any different.
The entire process was respectful. You were so loving that I felt like you had known us forever. I am grateful to have had you with Georgie and me at such a personal and emotional time.
You are a strong, kind, and special person to do what you do. You bring comfort and peace to a heartbreaking situation. Thank you for all you do.
On behalf of myself, Dennis and Mike, I cannot thank you enough, Katie, for your professionalism, expertise, kindness and sincere compassion in helping the three of us through the process of saying our final goodbyes to our dear chowpanion Nicholas. Although it was extremely difficult and heart breaking to have to say this final goodbye to Nicholas, you made the entire process as easy and comforting as it could possibly be. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your services and are so happy that Journeys Home Pet was there for us! We will definitely be recommending Journeys to anyone who is facing their final days with their beloved companion.
Thank you for your wonderful valuable service… you were kind & compassionate. I’m so grateful Charlie was able to stay at home.
I would like to thank Journeys Home for their compassion and understanding. They listen and are loving and most helpful when you need them.
I want to say thank you to Dr. Purdy for being so kind, compassionate, and understanding. Today was a tough day, but her kind words and outstanding service made things easier.
I wanted to thank Dr. Laura for helping Indie leave us peacefully. Dr. Laura was remarkable in that she made one of the most difficult moments of my life, that I was fearing would be beyond horrific, into something bearable and peaceful. Her demeanor and attentive nature were so calming and comforting. While I’m sure that working in this profession can be exhausting, please know how much of an amazing impact you have on those four-legged and two-legged patrons. Thank you cannot cover the gratitude I feel.
For the last few months, we have known the end was approaching for our nearly 15 year old Wheaten Terrier, Preston. When it finally came time to make the difficult decision, we were so thankful to find Journeys Home Pet Euthanasia. We really appreciated the Journeys Quality of Life Scale which helped us to confirm that it was the right time for us to say our final goodbye. From our first interaction with Dr. Katie, she made the process as smooth as possible. We are comforted knowing that Preston was at peace through to the end. He fell asleep while eating ice cream and cheese whiz. Dr. Katie was so gentle and kind with him through the process. We will miss him dearly, but are thankful that someone like Dr. Katie was here to help. We would highly recommend her to any other pet owner facing this difficult decision.
There are not words to express to you how grateful we are for what you did for us. Although it was extremely difficult to let Toots go, having you come to our home to assist us made it much more comfortable. And we believe that Tootsie was more comfortable too (as she gets a little nervous when we go to the vet’s office). Please keep doing what you do. People and their pets need your service. We will recommend you often.

Thanks to Dr. Laura Purdy! (I hope I got this right … I know you introduced yourself; but my mind was elsewhere.) You made the last moments with our dear Pip very peaceful and as easy as it could be in those circumstances! I thank God that your service was recommended to us. You are all such a blessing. Again, many thanks!

Having to put Remmy down was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but I couldn’t imagine having to do it with any other vet than Dr. Katie. She was warm, compassionate, kind, empathetic, comforting and beyond caring. She came to my home (over an hour a way) knowing what needed to be done, interrupting her Easter morning with her family. She even brought treats for Remmy’s final moments and clay to make an imprint of Remmy’s paw for us to memorialize. So, even though I hope none of you are ever in the position to have to make the decision to put one of your beloved pets to sleep, I know that some of you will and if you are local to me (or in Southern Wisconsin) I want you to know that I felt blessed having Katie there, she made it easier and was far from intrusive.
