My sweet calico girl. I’ve always whispered to you, “I am yours, and you are mine,” and truer words have never been spoken. Sixteen years ago, I walked into a shelter, and you chose me. I was skeptical about getting a calico cat, but my roommate put you in my arms, and you snuggled right in, and never let go. I will forever be grateful for that moment, and all the moments that followed.
You have charmed every single person you have ever come in contact with. I can’t even begin to describe how loved you were, and still are. I have never known a more outgoing, or physically affectionate cat. You loved people and would show off whenever visitors were around. But at the end of the day, I was your person. If I wasn’t available you would happily cuddle with others, but the second I came into the room you made your way to my lap. You made me feel special and loved at times when I felt so alone in this world. I can only hope you felt the same love and devotion from me.
I would have kept you by my side forever if I could. We went through everything together, and now I can’t imagine my life without you. I will carry your memory with me every day. Thank you for all the love, and cuddles. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time together.
