Farewell to my shadow, for now.
Princess was by my side through the worst times of my life.
Her beautiful black coat soaked up many tears, and not just mine.
Her joy at being with her favorite people was boundless.
My gardens won’t be the same without the cheerful sight of her waving tail as she happily sniffed the trail of some furry creature.
I was never really alone these past 15 years as kids moved in an out of my home – I had her.
Prin was always next to me when the door closed behind each one, each time.
Until now.
