Wilma came to us from Alabama in Jan 2021, in the middle of a freezing winter. She was in bad shape that they had to remove both eyes, spay (suspected from a backyard breeder or puppy mill), loss of hair, malnourished & ear infection. She was only 12 lbs, terrier mix & 12 yrs old.
It was challenging for her to navigate our home & with time, she did well & learned to trust & love. Her most favorite thing is walking. After months of getting used to walking the same blocks, she became so confident & walking so proud with her head up. A few months later, we think she developed dementia & stopped eating & slept 24/7. I miss my lap dog so dearly & taken from us so soon. I’m glad we gave her the love that she never had.
